Welcome to MkrTree! Your privacy is critically important to us. This policy outlines how MkrHire ("we," "us," or "our"), the legal entity behind MkrTree, collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication data. Your password is handled securely by Firebase Authentication and is not visible to us.
  • Profile Information: Any information you voluntarily add to your public profile, such as your bio, tagline, photo, links, and projects.
  • Usage Data: We collect anonymous data about how you interact with our service, such as which features you use and the clicks on your links, to help us improve MkrTree.
  • Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment details are processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our services.
  • To personalize your experience and set up your public profile page.
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support inquiries.
  • To process transactions and manage your subscription.
  • To generate profile suggestions using AI tools, as described below.

3. Third-Party Services (Subprocessors)

We rely on trusted third-party services to operate MkrTree:

  • Firebase (Google): We use Firebase for core functionalities including user authentication, database storage (Firestore), and website hosting. Firebase handles your data securely on our behalf.
  • Stripe: All payments and subscriptions are managed through Stripe. Your payment data is sent directly to Stripe and is subject to their privacy policy.
  • Gemini AI (Google): We use Google's Gemini AI to provide optional profile writing suggestions (e.g., for your bio or tagline). The content you input (like your current profile details and links) is sent to Google's API to generate these suggestions. This data is processed according to Google's AI policies.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. This includes using secure services like Firebase and Stripe and following industry best practices.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information. You can manage your profile information directly from your admin dashboard. To delete your account and all associated data, please use the "Delete Account" option in your account settings.
